An Auburn University veterinary graduate, Dr. Smith spent six years in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, where she provided veterinary services for several presidential pets and the caisson horses at Fort Myer. She is a member of the American and Northern Virginia Veterinary Medical Associations.
A graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University, Dr. Carlson practiced small-animal medicine for about twelve years in Michigan before joining Hometown. She shares her home with her two cats, Luna and Sol.
Dr. Pierce earned her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 2000 and practiced in Maryland for 21 years. Her special interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine and behavioral medicine. She lives in Alexandria with her husband and a Havanese named Dolly.
